Coffee shop Conversation

There I was sitting in a coffee shop recently trying hard not to listen to the conversation behind me but itching to say something. One lady was saying to her friend “Oh so you joined the ranks of the snobs then” her friend replied “No don’t be silly Jane, having a cleaner is not about being posh, we are not wealthy, we don’t even live in a big house,”
Jane replied, “So why did you get a cleaner then, surely it must be expensive?”
“Not really” said her friend. “What I found was not just a fantastic cleaner who is worth her weight in gold. I also found that the time I saved far outstripped the cost. I mean I only pay for two hours a week but she saves me anything up to 5 hours a week that I don’t need to spend on housework which is great not having to do it myself as the house is tidy and its easier to keep that way. Having a cleaner In my opinion is not just cost effective its cost efficient.”
Jane replied, “Perhaps I should sack my husband and get a cleaner instead. At least my house would be tidy”
You know that listening to that conversation got me thinking time is at a premium. None of us have enough time to do the things we need to, let alone to do the things we would like to do. I personally know that there is not enough hours in the day. Having a cleaner may seem like a luxury but in today’s world where many people are having to work longer hours but spending up to 19hrs a week cleaning seems a bit of a nightmare and as we all know we need to work, rest and play to live happy, healthy, fruitful lives.
